Jennifer Aniston Buys New York Penthouse In The West Village

...the actress was buying a giant West Village penthouse for nearly $15 million- a rumor that turned out to be untrue.
But now we know for sure that Aniston has bought a different apartment in the West Village. Actually, she bought two!
The Daily News report today that Aniston bought two pads on the 17th and 18th floors of 299 West 12th Street, which she plans to combine into a 2,700 square foot duplex.
The $5.9 million dollar 18th floor pre-war pad, previously belonging to celebrity hairstylist Sally Hershberger, has one bedroom and "huge casement windows
and doors open[ing] from every room to a beautifully planted roof terrace with panoramic north,
south, east and west views of the New York Harbor to the Empire State Building and more". The
terrace itself is a staggering 900 square feet.
You think that'd be enough! But no! A source close to Aniston told the Daily News, "She would
definitely need more space than one apartment, her closet alone wouldn't fit in a one-bedroom."
And so it makes sense that Aniston snatched the 1.8 million dollar 17th foor apartment which,
according to the listing, has "ample closets", a working wood-burning fireplace, high-beamed ceilings,
picture moldings, hardwood floors, and a "generously-proportioned bedroom".
