Westbeth Artists Housing, located in the full block bounded by West, Bethune, Washington and Bank Streets in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was formerly the headquarters of Bell Telephone Laboratories before being converted into low cost artists' housing and studios and an arts center in 1968-1970, with the conversion overseen by noted architect Richard Meier.

The largest such community in the world, this low- to middle-income rental housing project was developed with the assistance of the J.M. Kaplan Fund and federal funds from the National Endowment for the Arts. The facility considers itself full and is not accepting applications from new artists.
